The
Latest in Diagnostic Methods . .
.
To
provide the best care possible, we believe strongly in utilizing
the latest in patient diagnostic technology. This will enable
our team to locate the true source of your pain, and develop
a treatment plan that is customized to meet your needs.
X-ray
- X-rays facilities are on site. X-rays can show fractures,
dislocations, misalignments, scoliosis, bone spurs, degenerative
joints, bony anomalies and many other problems. X-Rays are very
helpful in diagnosing many common ailments.
MRI -
Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Conveniently located across
the street, next door to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital.
High-tech imaging without the radiation. For patient Comfort
it is an “open” MRI, not a little tube, so claustrophobia
and other confined space issues are not problematic.
Ultra
Sound - Used to identify "soft tissue" injuries
such as sprains, tears, nerve root irritation, chronic muscle
inflammation. High-tech imaging without the radiation or the
cost.
NCV -
Nerve Conduction Velocity studies involve the stimulation
of nerves in the arms and legs which will measure the velocity
of the motor and sensory components of the nerves. By measuring
the velocity of information that travels from the brain we can
determine normal or abnormal function.
DEP - Dermatomal
Evoked Potential test the function of individual spinal nerve roots.
This test is useful in documenting disc abnormalities in cases where
the MRI is negative or when it shows minimal disc bulge.
SSEP
- Somato Sensory Evoked Potential evaluates the sensory
pathways linking the peripheral nerves (via the spinal cord
to the brain).
Serology
- Blood and urine testing is also available within walking
distance from our office.
